Line 1 – Andalusia Tech – El Perchel
It has 13 stations and serves the Teatinos university campus, Ciudad de la Justicia, Hospital Clínico and Hospital Carlos Haya etc.
Stations: Atarazanas, Guadalmedina, El Perchel, La Unión, Barbarela, Carranque, Portada Alta, Ciudad de Justicia, Universidad, El Clínico, Cónsul, Paraninfo, Andalucía Tech.
Line 2 – Palacio De Los Deportes – El Perchel
This line comprises 8 stations and serves the Carretera de Cádiz district, the José María Martín Carpena Sports Centre and the beach.
Stations: Palacio de los Deportes, Puerta Blanca, La Luz – La Paz, El Torcal, Princesa – Huelin, La Isla, El Perchel, Guadalmedina.

Malaga metro timetable
- Monday to Thursday: 06:30 h to 23:00 h
- Fridays and bank holidays: 06:30 h to 01:30 h
- Saturday: 07:00 h to 01.30 h
- Sundays and public holidays: 07:00 h to 23:00 h

- Monday to Thursday: BETWEEN 5 AND 10 MINUTES
- Fridays and bank holidays : BETWEEN 5 AND 10 MINUTES

Malaga Metro fares
- Occasional ticket for 1 to 9 journeys, refillable, for use by several users travelling together: Price €1.35
- Prepaid travel card rechargeable up to a maximum of €25 and a minimum of €5. Non-nominative, can be used by several users travelling together: Price €0.82
- Consortio de Transportes” card This is a rechargeable ticket that allows multiple validation, i.e. it can be used by several users as long as they are travelling together. It is sold in the Transport Consortium’s network of kiosks and tobacconists, and can be recharged in the vending machines on the Malaga metro. It can be used on all public transport systems. Price: €0.33.
- Consortio de Transportes” card for large families: Fare between €0.17 and €0.26 (see conditions at the card sales office).
- Youth card: reloadable, non-multi-valid. It offers a 20% reduction on the price of the journey via a 25% bonus on top-ups and is aimed at all residents of Andalusia under the age of 30.
Suburban trains or Cercanias de Malaga
The suburban trains (Cercanías) in Malaga operate as a rail transport network for getting around the Malaga metropolitan area and its surroundings.
The Cercanías suburban trains are operated by Renfe, Spain’s national rail company. They connect Malaga city centre with various suburban destinations, including neighbouring towns and coastal areas.

The Cercanías network in Malaga comprises 2 lines:
- one that runs along the coast and serves the nearby seaside resorts from Malaga centre to Fuengirole
- one that runs north from Malaga centre to Alora.

Fares may vary depending on the distance travelled, and prices are per zone. Single tickets:
- zone 1/2: €1.80
- zone 3: €2.05
- zone 4: €2.70
- zone 5: €3.60
If you travel regularly, you can take out a season ticket. You can travel with a pet and a bicycle/person free of charge.
